“Turkey and Azerbaijan are closely watching what we are doing, and more specifically, they are watching your struggle. They are calling a meeting of the Security Council because they are worried about your struggle,” announced Turkologist Varuzhan Geghamyan at the rally of the “Tavush for the Motherland” movement. He assured that Turkey and Azerbaijan are worried about the possibility of a change in government in Armenia.
“When they go to negotiate, they sit at the same table with the RA representatives, and when they leave, they have no worries about the negotiations. On the contrary, they are sure that they have won another victory. Based on the interests of Turkey and Azerbaijan, a change of power here is not beneficial for them. So we are doing the right thing,” Geghamyan said.
Varuzhan Geghamyan assured that the enemy believes in our forces, and this belief causes anxiety that all their plans will fail. “Turkey and Azerbaijan use peace as bait to get what they want. For them, a united existence is not an existence without borders like two European states, but an existence without Armenia in this region. Turkey and Azerbaijan are pursuing the goal of weakening the Armenian state so much that it becomes fully dependent on Turkey. All of us standing here do not agree to be a state dependent on Turkey.”

He stated the formula for their victory: “Real Armenia dictates Armenian peace. This is the formula for our victory.”
According to the Turkologist, the following realizations are necessary for victory: “One must realize that the concessions at this moment are endless. They will enter any Armenian’s house. It can’t be safe on Northern Avenue when, in Northern Armenia, in Tavush, grandmother Lena is 50 meters away from the Azerbaijani army, and 7-year-old Arman will go to school under the target of Azerbaijani yashma. The second condition is that the struggle is the only option for real Armenian peace.
The third condition is perhaps the most important. These days, like Ms. Anahit, in recent years, you have been very worried, upset, tormented, cried, doubted our and everyone’s strength, wondering whether this struggle will succeed or not. The enemy believes and knows that we can, therefore we should start believing in our own strength. For our new victories, it is time for us to turn from doubters into believers in our powers. Faith is an active action and gives its victorious result.”
Varuzhan Geghamyan concluded: “I believe that we own our country and will have a safe and developing Armenian state again.”
