the RA NA President Alen Simonyan received the United Nations (UN) Resident Coordinator in Armenia Françoise Jacob.
The Head of Parliament congratulated Françoise Jacob on assuming the office and wished her effective work.
“I greatly highlight the persistent support being shown to the agenda of the institutional reforms of our country through the UN different agencies and structures.

We, the legislators, do and are ready to do our best for ensuring the legislative field and implementing strategic different programmes,” Alen Simonyan noted.
The NA President emphasized the support in establishing peace in the South Caucasus, the process of the Armenia-Azerbaijan negotiations and the return of Armenian prisoners of war being illegally held in Azerbaijan among the priorities of the partnership of the organization.
The initiatives and the programmes being jointly implemented, particularly the cooperation in the educational, humanitarian, energy and other spheres within the framework of the UN Sustainable Development programme were discussed.
