the NA Vice President Hakob Arshakyan and the deputy of the Civil Contract Faction Hakob Aslanyan attended the solemn opening ceremony of the exhibition dedicated to the first –domestic satellite of Armenia, Hayasat – 1, held in Museum of Science and Technology in the Engineering City.
Welcoming the attendees, Hakob Arshakyan noted that a few years ago, when an attempt was made to regulate the sphere, and the parliament was debating the law on Space Activities, there was skepticism, and many people were asking, what connection Armenia has with space. “But we believed that we’ll have new achievements. First, the work done with the Spanish colleagues, then also the launch of the developed satellite in Armenia gave a basis to all skeptics to believe that the science in Armenia has future, and that future becomes a reality due to efforts,” the NA Vice President said.
Hakob Arshakyan expressed hope that we’ll also witness many other exhibits produced in Armenia.
“I think it is hard to overestimate the achievements which we have reached. I hope that we’ll have projects including with more systems and bigger scale. The state with its pursuing policy, the financial means being allocated to science and attention stands next to you. I congratulate you,” Hakob Arshakyan said, concluding his speech.
