During the reporting period, the state-owned shares of one company included in the programme were privatized by tender, and the state-owned shares of another company were privatized in the form of direct sale. The Head of the State Property Management Committee of the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Arnak Avetisyan said this while presenting the draft law on approving the 2023 annual report on the implementation of the 2017-2020 programme of privatization of state property for debate to the Parliament.

According to Arnak Avetisyan, during the reporting period, the funds received from privatization amounted to 3 billion 790 million AMD. At the expense of privatization, 2.6 billion AMD entered the state budget, 1.1 billion AMD was transferred to the budgets of communities.

During the reporting period, the closed joint-stock company Radioisotope Production Center was removed from the privatization programme, and its management authority was transferred to the Ministry of Health.

Arnak Avetisyan informed that during 2023, the funds received from the state property management amounted to 15.4 billion AMD, which is 72% more than the figure of the previous year.

70 immovable properties and 488 vehicles optimized from the state system were alienated. 68 units of real estate were donated to communities and the citizens.

The NA Vice President Hakob Arshakyan inquired about the reason for the 72% increase in funds received from state property management in 2023.

Arnak Avetisyan clarified that the sharp increase in funds is due to a more active and flexible policy of alienation of state property, privatization and lease provision.

The co-rapporteur, the member of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Narek Ghahramanyan, presenting the viewpoint of the Committee, called on his colleagues to vote for the draft law.
