It is proposed to establish exceptions in terms of providing information to tax bodies

The adoption of the package of drafts is conditioned by the necessity to provide relevant information to the tax body on the part of licensees providing services in the field: The Deputy Chairman of the RA State Revenue Committee Artur Manukyan stated, presenting the package of draft laws on Making Amendment and Addendum to the Law on Energy and on Making Addendum to the Water Code of the Republic of Armenia for debate to the Parliament.

According to the Tax Code, the tax body is empowered to request from the taxpayers, in accordance with the procedure established by the Government, information about themselves or the taxpayers kept by them, which the tax body uses to carry out its current control, studies and analyses.

Taking into consideration the importance of receiving information, it is proposed to define exceptions in two laws in terms of providing information in tax authorities.

The member of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs David Arushanyan presented the viewpoint of the Committee, calling on his colleagues to adopt the legislative package.

Parliament debates more than a dozen legislative initiatives in second reading

The National Assembly debated more than a dozen legislative initiatives in the second reading.

The author of the bill on Making Addendum to the RA Criminal Procedure Code is the deputy of the Civil Contract Faction Arpine Davoyan. According to her, after the first reading, editorial amendments were made in the draft at the proposal of the Government.

The main amendments were proposed in the package of bills on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Tax Code and the attached bills.

The Government accepted the proposal made by the MP Hovik Aghazaryan during the first reading of the initiative. It is planned that the reformulations in terms of added value will be carried out only according to the logic of progressive application, that is, only in terms of acquisitions made after July 1, 2024.

The next amendment concerns the field of high-tech industry and, in particular, the field of information technology.

The RA Deputy Minister of Finance Arman Poghosyan also presented the bill on Making Addenda to the RA Tax Code .

There have been no amendments since the first reading.

The MPs also debated the package of bills on Making Amendments to the Law on Public Service and on Making Addenda and Amendment to the Law on Remuneration of Persons Holding State Positions and State Service Positions .

The package providing for amendments in the RA Tax Code and the Law on Free Economic Zones was presented by the Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Narek Teryan.

According to the rapporteur, some amendments were made after the first reading.

Other amendments were also made.

The package of draft laws on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on Motor Roads and on Making Addenda to the Law on State Duty was presented.

The Parliament also debated the draft law providing for amendment and addendum to the Law on the RA Budgetary System . The RA Deputy Minister of Finance Vahan Sirunyan informed that after the first reading, mainly technical proposals were presented regarding the initiative.

At the presentation of the RA Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Davit Khachatryan, the bill envisaging amendments to the Law on Cumulative Pensions was debated.

From the first to the second reading, mostly editorial amendments were made.

The Deputy Chairman of the RA State Revenue Committee Artur Manukyan spoke about the proposed addenda to the RA Tax Code.

The Deputy Chairman of the RA State Revenue Committee Artur Manukyan also presented the amendments to the Laws on Lotteries and on Winning Games, Internet Winning Games and Casinos .

No proposals were submitted after the first reading.

The main amendments proposed in the Law on State Duty were presented as well.

The Chairman of the RA State Revenue Committee Rustam Badasyan presented the initiative aimed at the comprehensive regulation of the gaming sector in the RA.

The main amendments were proposed in the package of draft laws on the Regulation of Gaming Activities and the attached laws.
