“What is happening in our country, I wish that it happens in your countries.” Reverend Bagrat, to the ambassadors and the international community

June 14,2024 12:00

During the rally on Baghramyan Avenue, the leader of the “Tavush for the Motherland” movement, Reverend Bagrat, informed that yesterday they visited hospitals to see all the wounded. “All of them received shrapnel injuries, not just from sound grenades. People were beaten, crushed. 7 to 10 policemen attacked one person and in that way, indescribably beat and tortured people, and also gave the most humiliating insults. People are more offended by the insults they received than by the beatings and massacres.

They cursed me too. It’s as if they were taught to behave this way on purpose. Police leaders say that this isn’t happening. Yesterday and today, they hugged and enjoyed themselves, while the hooligans defended the state. I told you in the morning, don’t even say hello to the police. Is this the reform? Is it to teach swearing? People are caught illegally, beaten, and crushed because they are from Artsakh.”

Addressing the international community and the ambassadors of different countries in Armenia, Reverend Bagrat said: “Whatever happens in our country, I wish it happens in your countries. Your message is enough. On one occasion, I was told in Canada that “we are establishing democracy in Iraq”. I also say: let the “democracy” of Armenia spread to all your countries. We have absolutely no expectations from you. You have proven more than once that you are fake and have your own interests. Your servant aworks well for you here. I say with full responsibility, addressing the ambassadors and centers in our country, I wish that the same democracy, the same values that you have towards our country, will take place in your countries.”
