Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan received François Jacob, UN Resident Coordinator in Armenia, responsible for UN security issues.
Welcoming the guest, the Deputy Prime Minister congratulated her on his appointment to the responsible position and wished success in her future work.
During the meeting, the parties emphasized the continuation of the work aimed at providing long-term stable living conditions for the people forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh along with addressing their primary needs. In this process, the Deputy Prime Minister specially emphasized the importance of the coordination format formed with UN structures, highlighting the need to concentrate it mainly in the directions of employment and livelihood.
Reference was also made to the necessity of cooperation in the direction of assessing and addressing the damages suffered by the urban and rural settlements of Lori and Tavush regions as a result of the floods that occurred on May 25-26 in the northern regions of Armenia.
