In response to the accusations and threats of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev against France and the Armenian-French military cooperation Spokesperson for foreign affairs and security policyof the EU,Peter Stano noted that the history of the EU shows that building trust between countries after a long conflict requires time, forgiveness and patience.
Answering a question from an Armenpress correspondent in Brussels, Peter Stano confirmed the EU’s readiness to support the peace process.
“It is Armenia’s sovereign right to choose its security and defense partners. The EU continues to support all efforts to achieve progress in the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and encourages decisive steps to achieve a stable and lasting peace in the region,” said the EU representative.
