David Tursz, the cultural attaché of the French Embassy in Armenia and executive director of the French Institute of Armenia, noted that it is a great honor to work with the “Golden Apricot” film festival every year. “This festival has achieved great success over time and has become a prominent international film festival,” he added at the press conference.
“The festival gives young artists the opportunity to gain recognition on a global scale and to become presentable. Every year, there is an opportunity for famous filmmakers from around the world to come to Armenia, premiere films, and invite filmmakers to undertake various projects,” added David Tursz.
He also mentioned that Katya Kirakosyan’s documentary “Misak and Meline Manushyan,” dedicated to the prominent figures of the French resistance movement, Misak and Meline Manushyan, will be screened as part of the “Golden Apricot” film festival.
