As a member in respect of Armenia in the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (CPT) of the Council of Europe I participated in the plenary meeting of the Committee.
The CPT adopted the reports on its visits to Slovakia, France, Italy, Lithuania, Switzerland, Turkey.
The CPT also decided to issue a public statement in respect of Azerbaijan, stating as a reason for this exceptional decision the outright refusal of the Azerbaijani authorities to cooperate with the CPT.
