With a Hollywood smile and an approach befitting a titular actor, the two-time Oscar-winning actor, producer, director, and screenwriter Kevin Spacey greeted the crowd waiting for him in the big hall of the Cinema House, which was filled to twice its capacity.
“For me, it all starts with you know where… the actor’s job is to serve the written script… I have to peel back the veil, clean it up, explore the beat, the challenge, the ideas… I have to know what those ideas are, what the writer wanted the audience to feel… Also, the quality is important, the quality of the writing… It’s a constant process, because when I read the script for the first time, it really blows my mind… I say, oh my God, this is a wonderful story… This is exactly the experience you should have when watching the movie for the first time. I want to always go back to that very first freshness, that very moment,” said Kevin Spacey while talking about the actor’s mission.

Among other things, he referred to Alan Parker’s film “The Life of David Gale” (2003), which is shown in the “Golden Apricot” frame, and in which he and Kate Winslet starred. He spoke about the directors with whom he has collaborated and considered himself lucky.
The well-known actor mentioned that the methodology of acting in theater and cinema is different, but a good actor performs well everywhere; in movies, they just earn a lot of money.
He remembered his mother, who always took him to see plays and movies, and how she laughed while enjoying the beautiful acting of the actors. He recalled how he used to mimic the actors and make his mother laugh at his performances.
In addition to asking Kevin Spacey many questions, the fans presented him with an Armenian silver ring on the occasion of his upcoming birthday, saying that it symbolizes the Kingdom of Cilicia. A young man admitted to a university in the USA asked for money for his tuition.
Spacey constantly referred to the theater. “In the theater, you can be better, grow, and develop. There have been many wonderful moments for me that resemble magic. It’s a moment that happens to the actor right on the stage, it doesn’t matter if you’re playing Richard III or something else… Theater is a little different for me.”
He was even asked a question about the US elections, Biden and Trump. Spacey said he doesn’t want to get involved in politics. Regarding the future, he said that tomorrow is already the future, and he would like to go to the past in some cases to better understand some issues.
