It is designed to clarify the conditions for brothers to serve in the same military unit. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Defense Arman Sargsyan during the extraordinary session of the National Assembly convened on July 11, presenting the amendments proposed in the package of draft laws on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Military Service and the Status of Servicemen, on Making Addendum to the law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Military Service and Status of Servicemen.
The legislative package also clarified the rights to provide the service apartment allocated to servicemen as property.
According to the current law, the procedure for the administration of applications submitted by former servicemen to provide compensation for all the unused vacation days of a serviceman was provided. According to the Deputy Minister, during the implementation of the administration, there were problems of keeping the deadlines, therefore it is proposed to carry out the relevant administration within a period of up to 90 days.
