ARMENPRESS. Relations between Iran and Armenia hold particular importance due to the geographical and strategic positions of the two countries.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia Mehdi Sobhani stated this in an interview with SNN, speaking about the current level of relations between Tehran and Yerevan.
“As one of Iran’s neighbors, Armenia has a secure and stable border, which plays a vital role in strengthening regional security. In addition, economic, energy, and educational cooperation between the two countries will contribute to strengthening bilateral relations and economic development,” Ambassador Sobhani noted, emphasizing that joint infrastructure and energy projects such as road construction and expanding gas and electricity exchanges help improve regional infrastructure and meet mutual needs. The ambassador also added that cultural and educational cooperation leads to the deepening of friendly relations between the peoples of Armenia and Iran.
“Relations between Iran and Armenia have always been of strategic importance,” the Iranian Ambassador to Armenia added.
