The regular Cabinet meeting took place today, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan.

According to the agreement reached between the “Simonyan” educational foundation and the head of the Armavir community, it is planned to create a Tumo center in the Armavir community within the framework of the “Tumo Centers of Creative Technologies” charity program, which will give 12-18 year-old children and other persons defined by the fund’s charter free access to educational programs in the spheres of crafts and technology, and for the purpose of building the Tumo center, it is planned to invest at least AMD 530,000,000.

The Government made a decision to make changes and additions to the decision No. 568-N of the Government of the Republic of Armenia of May 27, 2015 “On defining the order of medical care and service using assisted reproductive technologies under free or preferential conditions and the requirements presented to the beneficiaries”. The decision proposes to expand the range of citizens who have the right to use the right to medical care with assisted reproductive technologies.

It is planned to sign a loan agreement between the Republic of Armenia and the Eurasian Development Bank, according to which an investment loan of 200,000,000 (two hundred million) US dollars will be provided from the funds of the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development for the financing of the Kajaran tunnel construction project. The goal of the project is to increase the potential of transit transportation and reduce accidents in the section of the “North-South” highway corridor. The project envisages the construction of the Kajaran tunnel (length: about 7.0 km) and the reconstruction of the existing M2 Yerevan-Yeraskh-Goris-Meghri-Iran border section with a length of about 4 km (the entrance to the Kajaran tunnel – the intersection of the planned new road section Sisian-Kajaran).

The government approved the legislative initiative of the government of the Republic of Armenia on ratifying the loan agreement “Syunik Customs and Logistics Center” between the Republic of Armenia and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The “Syunik Customs and Logistics Center” loan agreement between the Republic of Armenia and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development was signed on May 14, 2024. The agreement envisages the provision of credit funds in the amount of 10,000,000 euros to Armenia for the implementation of the Project defined by the Agreement. The purpose of the project is to support Armenia in financing the construction of a customs and logistics center in Syunik region, including technical support and consulting services to support the implementation of the project.

The government approved the proposal to sign the “Charitable Donation of Funds” contract. According to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Armenia and the Eurasian Development Bank “On Charitable Donation of Funds”, it is planned to provide a donation of 100 million AMD from the Bank’s funds to the Republic of Armenia, in the person of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Armenia, in order to provide humanitarian aid for overcoming the natural disaster in the regions of Lori and Tavush of the Republic of Armenia as a result of the heavy rains of May 25-26, 2024 and its consequences.
