The Armenian historical heritage in Artsakh is at risk of destruction

July 29,2024 11:15

In the temporarily occupied Artsakh, the Azerbaijani state administration is destroying entire settlements and residential neighborhoods in parallel with the eradication of Armenian cultural and historical heritage. A recent case was recorded in the Hadrut region.

The victim of the state-level cultural genocide conducted by Azerbaijan was the village of Mokhrenes in the Hadrut region of Artsakh. The same fate befell the heroic village of Karin Tak in the Shushi region, as well as numerous residential neighborhoods in Stepanakert and other locations in Artsakh.

Azerbaijan’s policy is designed to obliterate the Armenian legacy in Artsakh, which carries universal value.

It is important to emphasize that all high-ranking foreign officials who have visited the occupied Artsakh during this period have endorsed Azerbaijan’s genocidal policies and are complicit with Azerbaijan’s military-political leadership.

This situation once again proves that the Armenian historical heritage in Artsakh is at risk of destruction.
