Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the Tavush region, got acquainted with the programs implemented in 2023 and those currently in progress.
The first stop of the Head of the Government was in the city of Dilijan, where the Prime Minister was presented with the major repair works of the 2.2 km section of the T-10-34, /M-4/ – Mountainous Armenia sanatorium highway. The cost of the project is 234 million AMD, which was allocated from the state budget. The works are in progress.
In the city of Dilijan, Nikol Pashinyan got acquainted with the progress of construction of the “Allur” residential complex by the private sector at Shamakhyan ½. The volume of investments reaches 6.1 billion AMD. 6 six-story multi-apartment residential buildings are being built, one of which is the former bread factory. It is currently being rebuilt as an apartment building.
The Prime Minister’s next stop was at the geological museum of Dilijan city, where the restored painting of Ayvazovsky was presented. It was noted that the initiative of the restoration of the latter belongs to the leadership of the National Gallery of Armenia, the project was sponsored by a private person.

Next, Nikol Pashinyan visited Kindergarten No. 5 in Dilijan city, got acquainted with the progress of the renovation works. The total cost of the works carried out within the framework of the subsidy program is 91 million AMD, of which 61 million AMD was allocated by the Government. It is planned to thoroughly repair the building of the kindergarten, build a heating system, improve the area. Completion is scheduled for December 2024.
Next, the Head of the Government familiarized himself with the construction process of the water line in Teghut settlement of Dilijan community. The total cost of the works carried out under the subsidy program within the framework of the modernization of the water supply system of Teghut settlement of Dilijan community is 288 million AMD, of which 187 million AMD have been provided by the Government. About 8,000 square meters of water line construction (with 50-219 mm steel and polyethylene pipes) were completed.
As part of the regional visit, Nikol Pashinyan was also presented with the equipment acquired by Ijevan Wine and Brandy Factory within the framework of the Government’s “Leasing Support Program for the Equipment of the Agri-Food Sector in the Republic of Armenia”. From 2019 until now, 171 different equipment and 1 bottling line have been purchased for 739.6 million AMD. In 2023, a loan agreement of 1.8 billion AMD was signed. It was noted that the factory provides high salaries for employees and modern conditions for production and staff.
In Tavush region, the Prime Minister visited the “Old Ijevanatun” complex and got acquainted with the implemented investment program. It was noted that an investment of 1.7 billion AMD was made. A two-story hotel-restaurant complex with an attic floor was built.
Next, the Prime Minister familiarized himself with the progress of construction of sewer lines on Teryan Street in Ijevan. It was noted that the works are being carried out within the framework of the sub-programme of the program for the construction of the drainage system and sewer lines of Ijevan, the modernization of the water supply system of the Khashtarak settlement. The cost of the works implemented under the subsidy program is 17.7 million AMD. The total cost of the sub-project is 29 million AMD, of which 18 million AMD was provided by the Government.
In Tavush region, Nikol Pashinyan was presented with the progress of asphalting works from Bbulyan-Aygestan intersection to Aygestan-Aslanyan intersection in Ijevan city. The contract value of the works implemented under the subsidy program is 129.6 million AMD, of which 71.3 million AMD was allocated by the government. Reconstruction works of 1 km road are being carried out.
During the visit, the major repair of the 35 km section of the H-36, /M-4/ (Ijevan) – Navur – Berd – Aygepar road was presented to the Head of Government (Gandzakar-Itsakar section). The contract value of the construction is 4.2 billion AMD, the total length of the road is 35 km, including the construction of a new bridge over the Hakhum River. Completion of the works is planned for 2025.
The Prime Minister also familiarized himself with the repair works of the 26 km section of the H-38, /H-30/-Ttujur-Navur-/H-36/ road. The cost of the project is 3.6 billion AMD, the total length of the road is 26 km. The works are in the final stage. Then, the construction works of the 1st section of Ttujur-Navur road, 15 km section, were presented. The cost of the project is 2.4 billion AMD, the total length of the road is 15 km. The works are in progress. The works will be completed before the end of the year. The Government funds the above mentioned road construction projects.
Then, Nikol Pashinyan got acquainted with the progress of the repair works of the 10 km section of the road from H-36 to Chinchin. The cost of the project is 1.3 billion AMD. In 2024, it is planned to repair the 6.9 km section. The remaining section will be repaired next year.
Individual residential houses built or under construction within the framework of the state support program for ensuring housing affordability for families in the border settlements were presented to the Prime Minister. For this purpose, the state allocated AMD 16 million to each of the beneficiaries. The house owners thanked the Prime Minister for initiating such a program. It was noted that the project has aroused great interest in the border settlements of Tavush region, and many similar houses are currently being built.
Next, the Prime Minister familiarized himself with the process of asphalting the rural road of Aygehovit settlement of Ijevan community. The total cost of the sub-project implemented under the subsidy program is 168 million AMD, of which 92 million AMD was allocated by the Government.
