34 years ago, on this day, the longing and aspiration of our people to have independent statehood was officially affirmed, which was the actual basis for declaring the independence of the RA a year later. The citizens of Soviet Armenia made a historic decision, putting independence above all else and declaring it as the only way for the country’s further development.
The attainment of Armenia’s independence was difficult, it is twice as difficult to maintain it, especially in the background of unpredictable processes and various geopolitical rearrangements taking place in the world. Even today, the Republic of Armenia is in a daily struggle to preserve the independence of our country.
Dear compatriots, congratulating on the 34th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence of Armenia, I want to assure you that the Armenian authorities will spare no effort to ensure the stable course of development of our country and to strengthen and build the free, independent Republic of Armenia.
