August 31,2024 19:00

Armenia is yet to make a decision on participation on COP29 summit in Baku this fall, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan aid at a press conference today.

“We will make decisions in due time. We have no decision at the moment,” he said.

The Prime Minister noted that the decision will depend on the general situation, processes and atmosphere.

Theoretically, any decision is possible, PM Pashinyan said, noting that it will largely depend on the situation at the moment the decision is due.

Azerbaijan has officially invited Armenia to attend the COP29 climate summit that will take place in Baku in November.

Armenia dropped its objections to Azerbaijan’s bid to host the United Nations summit last December as part of a deal that led to the release of 32 Armenian soldiers and civilians held in Azerbaijani captivity.
