Today, we’ve sent an open letter to F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali, urging action on Azerbaijan’s gross human rights abuses ahead of the #bakugrandprix.
Signed by prominent political figures including Lord Alton, Baroness Cox, Andrew Rosindell MP, as well as Armenian community leaders, our letter demands immediate action over the imprisonment of six Armenian political prisoners in Azerbaijan.
They are being held hostage, denied fair trials, and subjected to inhumane treatment. The world is watching; F1 cannot turn a blind eye to these egregious human rights violations happening in the shadow of their event – profits must not come at the expense of human rights.
