Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the German Bundestag, Michael Roth.
The Prime Minister welcomed Michael Roth’s visit to Armenia and highlighted the consistent development and expansion of inter-parliamentary cooperation with Germany. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the need for continuous development of economic cooperation with Germany and noted that bilateral relations have been of dynamic nature in recent years.
Michael Roth emphasized the fact of active and close cooperation with the colleagues of the Armenian parliament, adding that this cooperation also takes place on international platforms.
The interlocutors also discussed issues related to Armenia-European Union relations, the course of democratic reforms implemented in our country. Prime Minister Pashinyan stressed that the development of democracy and democratic reforms are of strategic importance for the Government of the Republic of Armenia, and steps in that direction will be consistent.

Reference was also made to the discussions on the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty, the border delimitation process between the two countries, as well as the “Crossroads of Peace” project of the Armenian Government aimed at unblocking regional transport routes. The Prime Minister presented the firm positions of the Armenian side on the above topics.
The sides exchanged ideas on other issues of regional and international importance.
