Health Fund for Children of Armenia Provides 40 Million Drams for Children from Artsakh

September 23,2024 11:51

The Health Fund for Children of Armenia (HFC), in partnership with the Armenian Relief Fund, ACBA Bank, and the Armenian Evangelistic Association, has successfully raised around 40 million drams to fund the treatment of children displaced from Artsakh and now living in Armenia. The serious medical conditions the foundation has addressed include chronic respiratory diseases, immune system disorders, leishmaniasis, as well as rheumatological, neurological, gastroenterological, and hepatological issues.

As part of this year-long program, running from January to July 2024, HFC provided essential medications to three major medical institutions: Arabkir Medical Center, Yolian Hematology and Oncology Center, and Muratsan Hospital. These medicines have been crucial for the treatment of displaced children. Additionally, the foundation has directly supported a group of children by covering the cost of medications and medical tests. Over 150 children from Artsakh received ongoing support during this period.

“Our goal is to ensure that every child receives the medical care they need, regardless of their social or financial situation. Children from Artsakh are especially vulnerable now, making our efforts even more critical,” said Armen Martirosyan, founding director of HFC. “We are grateful to our sponsors, whose generous support allows us to continue this important program, protecting and providing medical care to the children of Artsakh.”

It is important to note that HFC’s support extends to cases not covered by state funding or other charitable programs. Many of the medications provided are not only costly but also difficult to obtain.

The Health Fund for Children of Armenia remains dedicated to its mission of ensuring that all children with serious health conditions receive continuous, high-quality treatment. You can learn more about the foundation and its activities at www.hfc.am
