On September 26 Ambassador Makunts had a meeting with President and CEO of International Economic Development Council (IEDC) Nathan Ohle and Chairman of the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage Advisory Council Joe Kapp.
During the meeting, IEDC’s potential provision of strategic technical assistance and research support to Armenia has been discussed. The partnership between the Embassy of Armenia and the IEDC was launched during the Americas Competitiveness Exchange (ACE) Programs in Seattle (2023) and Michigan (2024).
Also, the interlocutors exchanged view on the upcoming ACE Armenia Program (September 30-October 4), including the opportunity to incorporate the tourism, cultural, and economic cooperation aspects between Armenia and the United States into the program.
