A consultation was held today under the leadership of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, during which the package of bills on amendments and additions to the Law “On Local Self-Government in the City of Yerevan” and related laws was discussed.
Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan noted that the changes apply to almost all spheres of activity of local self-government bodies. According to the mayor, the proposed package is the largest in its scope and content. The presented package offers solutions for the restoration of the city’s external view, prevention of arbitrary construction, elimination of its consequences, changes in the field of trade and services, more effective implementation of administrative proceedings regarding administrative offenses, prevention of administrative offenses, effective elimination of their consequences, provision of coexistence rules in the community area, solution of transportation problems.
A discussion was held regarding the proposed changes and additions. The participants of the consultation presented their views on the proposed solutions.
The Prime Minister proposed to continue the work on improving the bills based on the presented observations.
