On November 8, the RA NA Vice President Hakob Arshakyan met with the cadets of Vazgen Sargsyan Military Academy of RA Ministry of Defense and gave a lecture. Within the framework of the theme Innovation and leadership the NA Vice President conveyed his knowledge and experience accumulated during his work activity to the future officers and spoke about the successes and innovative achievements of our country in the field of military industry.
In his welcoming speech the NA Vice President valued the officers’ leadership skills and opined that an officer can keep the soldier’s spirit high only by having faith in his work, his ability to inspire, lead, and taking the soldiers after him.
In his opinion, we should certainly create new opportunities for the soldiers for enjoin the public trust. “The soldier should enter into the army and go back to the society with new knowledge, new skills, new human values and new breath,” the NA Vice President underscored and urged the future officers to continuously get educated and get new knowledge to keep pace with global innovative developments.
Hakob Arshakyan highlighted the fact that among the cadets there also women and underlined the continuous growth of the women’s involvement in raising the defense capabilities of the country.

Afterwards, during the extensive lecture, as well as the Q&A session, the NA Vice President spoke in detail about the phases and dynamics of the industrial revolution, noted that in the 21st century the technologies are developing about 1000 times quicker. In this context he detailed the impact that the technological revolution has in all spheres, including on the defensive and security systems. A reference was also made to the progress and opportunities given to the artificial intelligence, also to the ways of overcoming the public resistance against the innovative systems.
“We should present ourselves to the world as problem solvers, and this is largely the art of innovation, education, gaining new knowledge, and not being afraid. We are able to overcome all challenges, we need will, resoluteness, new knowledge in the work,” Hakob Arshakyan documented.
Let us note that the cadets visited the National Assembly in the frameworks of the pilot programme. The goal of these meetings is to equip future officers with new practical and theoretical knowledge.
