Burbank, CA – The Western Diocese of the Armenian Church has launched Ideas Lab, a groundbreaking forum designed to spark innovation and drive change within the Diocese. Embracing a startup-style approach, the Ideas Lab will serve as a catalyst for creative thinking, helping the Diocese better fulfil its mission through new strategies and solutions.
“The launch of the Ideas Lab reflects the Diocese’s commitment to evolving and adapting in order to meet the needs of its community in a rapidly changing world,” said Archbishop Hovnan. “We hope this initiative will inspire new ideas, foster collaboration, and create lasting, positive change.”
The Western Diocese of the Armenian Church in July of this year launched a visionary long-term institutional innovation initiative under the leadership of the Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian. The ultimate vision of this innovative project is to make Christian faith and Armenian culture living experience for communities in the western United States.
“By underlining creativity and leveraging the skills of experts across various industries, this initiative is aimed at enhancing the Diocese’s ability to navigate in a rapidly changing world and address the challenges within the Armenian community,” explained Dr. Hratch Tchilingirian, Director of Institutional Innovation at the Western Diocese.
The Ideas Lab is one of the components of the Institutional Innovation of the Western Diocese. The inaugural meeting was held on September 5th, with the blessing and in the presence of the Primate Archbishop Hovnan. It brought together professionals and experts from a wide array of fields, including the creative arts, technology, corporate sectors, marketing, management, legal profession, and community engagement.
