EU NEIGHBOURS east. On 16 November, EuroClub Oshakan, Armenia, hosted a screening of an animated documentary Aurora’s Sunrise, marking the final of celebrations of Lithuania’s 20 years of EU membership with Young European Ambassadors (YEAs).
With the support of the Lithuanian Embassy to Armenia, YEAs and nearly 20 young people from Oshakan and nearby communities watched the documentary, following Aurora Mardiganyan’s journey from genocide survivor to Hollywood star.
The animated documentary is a joint production of Bars Media Studio (Armenia), Beetz Brothers Film Production (Germany), and Artbox Laisvalaikio Klubas (Lithuania). Exclusive screening rights were acquired in cooperation with the Lithuanian Embassy to Armenia.

Earlier in November, Young European Ambassadors from EuroClub Gyumri conducted a second episode of the ‘Eurokitchen’ event series featuring Lithuanian Ambassador to Armenia Andrius Pulokas. YEAs cooked a popular Lithuanian dessert, ‘tinginys’, and had a chance to interact with the Ambassador.
The Young European Ambassadors (YEAs) initiative brings together socially engaged youth from the six Eastern Partner countries, the European Union and the United Kingdom to foster dialogue and to raise awareness about the EU and its cooperation with its Eastern partner countries.
