On December 5, the RA NA President Alen Simonyan received the Special Envoy of Canada to the European Union, Europe and Armenia Stéphane Dion.

The sides discussed a large scope of issues regarding the agenda of the Armenian-Canadian relations, including different issues on the inter-parliamentary cooperation. In this context the interlocutors highlighted the programs jointly implemented with the Parliamentary Centre (Canada), within the framework of which works of exchange of experience are held between the parliaments of Canada and Armenia, ensuring broad cooperation between the staffs of the parliaments of the two countries.

At the meeting reference was also made to the regional developments, issue regarding the peace treaty and other issues of bilateral interest.
