The “Other” Student Theater of Yerevan Regional State College No. 1 has captivated audiences with its diverse performances. Under the leadership of College Director Paruyr Santrosyan, efforts are focused on effectively organizing the educational and creative life of the new generation. Within this student theater, aspiring actors and directors have turned to works by both Armenian and international writers, creating stage productions that reflect their own unique visions.
Recently, the theater premiered The End of Evil, a musical by composer Vahe Hayrapetyan based on Hovhannes Tumanyan’s work. Directed by the imaginative Artyom Avetisyan, the production showcases his ability to breathe fresh life into each scene. With every project, Artyom’s creative vision results in performances that are vibrant, colorful, and filled with light.
The novice actors bring a raw, unfiltered energy to the stage—sincere, spontaneous, and devoid of pretense. Their performances radiate warmth, wisdom, and a sense of wonder, leaving audiences uplifted and enchanted.
The musical stands out with its vivid choreography (by Mariam Kocharyan) and imaginative staging solutions, creating a truly magical atmosphere. Every movement, musical note, and stage line seems to breathe with the director’s vibrant imagination, recreating a colorful and enchanting world.
Once again, the “Other” Student Theater proves that youthful creativity and passion can accomplish extraordinary things. Through their performances, they deliver messages of beauty, kindness, and the enduring power of triumph.
Though these young talents are just beginning their theatrical journey, a path that demands years of dedication and skill-building, there is no doubt that each will approach their craft with determination and heart.
