On December 7 on the sidelines of the “Manama Dialogue” forum the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan had a meeting with the Deputy Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Political and Negotiation Affairs Abdulaziz Aluwaisheg.
The interlocutors discussed joint steps aimed at strengthening cooperation between Armenia and GCC, as well as issues on the regional and international agenda.
Both sides emphasized their mutual interest in deepening relations between the organization and Armenia. They agreed to continue efforts to promote interest for investments among GCC member states and business representatives of Armenia, including through the creation of necessary platforms and a legal framework.
Deputy Foreign Minister Kostanyan briefed his interlocutor on the “Crossroads of Peace” concept, particularly in the context of opportunities for connectivity between the Gulf and Black Sea regions. Views were exchanged on possible cooperation between the GCC and the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation.

Regional developments were also touched upon. At the request of his interlocutor, Vahan Kostanyan presented efforts aimed at normalizing and developing relations between Armenia and neighboring countries.
