On February 7, at the initiative of the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of High-Tech Industry, a meeting was held at the Repatriation and Integration Center with repatriates engaged in IT activities and those interested in the field.
The repatriates were presented with a seven-year program from the Ministry of High-Tech Industry, aimed at developing the technology sector. This program offers a new set of government support tools and a framework of tax incentives for IT companies to create more favorable conditions for sector growth.
A number of programs aimed at developing the technological ecosystem were introduced, including the Diaspora technology startup program Neruzh 6.0, Plug and Play “Acceleration Program,” “From Idea to Business,” “Hackathon,” and “University-Private Sector Cooperation for Training Specialists,” along with other existing educational and grant programs.
