The parties discussed a range of topics related to Armenia-Belgium cooperation and the role of the Diaspora in the development of trade and economic relations

On February 14, within the framework of his working visit to the Kingdom of Belgium, RA High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Zareh Sinanyan met with Vice President of the Belgian-Armenian Chamber of Commerce, Honorary Consul of Georgia in Belgium, and businessman Yannick Kalantarian in Brussels.

During the meeting, discussions focused on Armenia-Belgium trade and economic relations, as well as opportunities for strengthening cooperation. The prospects for collaboration and mutual support between the Commissioner’s Office and the Chamber of Commerce were also addressed.

Yannick Kalantarian presented an initiative by the Belgian-Armenian Chamber of Commerce to organize a business delegation visit to Armenia in 2025. The High Commissioner expressed his readiness to provide support for the initiative within the scope of his mandate.

The parties also discussed a range of topics related to Armenia-Belgium cooperation and the role of the Diaspora in the development of trade and economic relations.
As part of his visit, on the same day, Zareh Sinanyan also visited the Armenian House in Brussels, where he met with Robert Unusyan, President of the Committee of Armenians of Belgium , newly elected members of the committee, and representatives of the Armenian House.

During the meeting, the High Commissioner presented the initiatives and vision regarding Armenia-Diaspora relations, after which he answered questions from the participants.

The discussions focused on expanding opportunities for mutual cooperation and effectively engaging the potential of the Belgian-Armenian community in the development of Armenia.
