Khachkar Studios is setting a new standard for faith-based media with its $10+ million initiative. Over the next five years, the studio will produce 40 “Good News” short-clips annually and build the world’s largest cloud-based library of Armenian Christian content.
One key goal is to increase Non-Holiday Badarak Faithful at 164 Armenian churches across the U.S. Currently, only 13,000 Armenians, or 3% of the population, attend Badarak regularly. Khachkar Studios plans to double this number to 28,000 (6%) while setting a long-term goal of quadrupling (4x) attendance to match peer church benchmarks.
The initiative also addresses a glaring gap in media spending. Research reveals that Armenian religious organizations invest very little in promoting church attendance. In response, Khachkar Studios is committing resources 25 times larger than these combined efforts to create motivational and impactful media.
Guided by the parable of the talents-“Much will be required of the person entrusted with much”-Khachkar Studios ensures its resources are used wisely. By reducing costs, shortening production timelines, and enhancing quality, the studio maximizes its social return on investment (SROI).
