The Supreme Spiritual Council convened on March 11 at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, under the presidency of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and
Catholicos of All Armenians.
The session commenced with the Lord’s Prayer, after which His Holiness imparted his blessings and best wishes to the clerical and lay members of the Supreme Spiritual Council, expressing gratitude for the participation of the Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople in the proceedings.
His Holiness, in deep gratitude for the Council members’ devoted service to the Holy Church, invoked the guidance of the Holy Spirit for the successful and fruitful proceedings of the session.

The agenda of the four-day meeting encompasses discussions on the organizational preparations for the National Ecclesiastical Assembly, as well as matters on the pastoral, educational, canonical, administrative, disciplinary, and social dimensions of the Church and the fulfillment of its mission.

The Supreme Spiritual Council will also receive the 2024 activity report of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, along with briefings on spiritual and administrative activities, the financial report, and the annual audit committee’s review.
