On March 13, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Sargis Khandanyan met with the graduates of the University of Pennsylvania, USA.
Welcoming the guests to the Parliament of Armenia, Sargis Khandanyan expressed gratitude for the interest shown in Armenia.
“The Armenian Parliament is one of the youngest parliaments in the world, as well as in Europe,” the Chair of the Committee noted, introducing the guests to the structure of the Parliament, the activities of the Committee led by him. He spoke about the foreign policy adopted by our country, and the relations with the neighboring countries.
Touching upon the geographical location and peculiarities of Armenia, the states bordering our country, Sargis Khandanyan briefly presented the history of Armenia from the time of gaining independence to the present day.

The Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations answered the guests’ questions regarding Armenia-Russia, Armenia-Turkey relations, strategic partnership with the United States, and the ongoing negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The guests have toured the Parliament and have been in the NA session hall.
