March 17,2025 21:55

On March 17, a work debate led by the RA NA President Alen Simonyan in parliament on the package of draft laws on Making Addendum to the RA Law on Ensuring Road Traffic Safety and on Making Addendum to the RA Code on Administrative Offenses was organized. The RA Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Armen Mkrtchyan, the Deputy Head of the Police Patrol Service of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs Arman Chilingaryan and the NA deputies participated in the debate.

According to the authors of the initiative Alen Simonyan, Hasmik Hakobyan and Sergey Bagratyan, the necessity of the amendments is conditioned by the fact that loud music playing from additional car players, amplifiers, and speakers disrupts public order, as well as makes it difficult to hear horns, respond to vehicle signals with special sound signals, and drive. The amendments design stricter legislative responses to such cases.

As a result of exchange of ideas of the participants of the debate, an agreement was reached to finalize the draft and submit it for debate in the National Assembly in the future.
