On March 19, the Deputy Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs Rustam Bakoyan, the Committee Members Marina Ghazaryan and Tigran Parsilyan met with the Head of Human Rights and Biomedicine Division of the Council of Europe Laurence Lwoff and the Representative of CoE Yerevan Office, the Head of the CoE Project Protection of Human Rights in Biomedicine Mary Katvalyan.
Welcoming the guests, Rustam Bakoyan highly appreciated the activity of Yerevan Office in our country and the effective cooperation with the representatives of the structure.
The sides highlighted the collaboration in the field of biomedicine between the Council of Europe and the Republic of Armenia.
At the meeting issues regarding on ratification of the Oviedo Convention of the Council of Europe by Armenia, as well as the protection of human rights in the field of biomedicine.
