Within the framework of the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Health Care Arsen Torosyan met with the Head of the Brazilian Delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union Claudio Cajado Sampaio.
Arsen Torosyan reaffirmed Armenia’s commitment to strengthening ties with Latin American countries, emphasizing the unused potential of cooperation in various fields.
At the meeting, the parties highly appreciated the role of parliamentary diplomacy in deepening cooperation between the two countries. In this regard, the cooperation between the friendship groups operating in the parliaments of Armenia and Brazil was touched upon and the need to organize mutual visits was underlined.
Arsen Torosyan stressed the importance of cooperation within the framework of international organizations.

He welcomed the role of Brazil in these efforts and highlighted Armenia’s participation in the COP30 to be held in Belém, as well as inviting partners to participate in COP17 to be held in Yerevan in 2026.
Arsen Torosyan reaffirmed Armenia’s commitment to establishing peace and stability in the South Caucasus, as well as its readiness to sign the Peace Agreement already agreed between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
