Within the framework of the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union the NA Vice President Hakob Arshakyan met with the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Pia Kauma.
The interlocutors discussed issues regarding the peace and security in the region.
The RA NA Vice President underscored that despite the completion of the negotiations on the peace treaty, Azerbaijan is putting forward additional preconditions, including the dissolution and cessation of the OSCE Minsk Group. It is looking for artificial reasons to delay the signing of the treaty.
Hakob Arshakyan underlined that such steps by Azerbaijan raise doubts about the political will of Azerbaijan to complete the peace agreement.

The President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Pia Kauma reaffirmed her support in establishing lasting peace in the region. She informed that her upcoming visit to the region is designed to serve the peace and security agenda.
The meeting ended with a common commitment to continue dialogue and cooperation, with special attention to unblocking security transport infrastructure in the South Caucasus and resolving other issues.
