On April 11, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Angola Tete Antonio.
Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that Armenia is interested in developing relations with countries of the African continent and expressed hope that the appointment of Armenia’s first Permanent Observer to the African Union would serve as a new impetus in this direction. In the same context, Minister Mirzoyan also stressed the importance of Angola’s active role in its Presidency of the African Union.
The interlocutors discussed the prospects for developing bilateral cooperation, emphasizing the importance of activating the interactions between the foreign ministries of Armenia and Angola and holding political consultations to that end.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Tete Antonio exchanged views on the possibilities of cooperation in the fields of high technology, digital economy, education, as well as expanding trade relations.
