On April 17, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on European Integration Arman Yeghoyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Greece to our country Christos Sofianopoulos.
Welcoming the Ambassador, Arman Yeghoyan noted that Greece is an important partner for Armenia both at the level of bilateral relations and as an EU member country. In this context Arman Yeghoyan mentioned and successfully evaluated the implementation of the Twinning Project aimed at strengthening the capacities of Armenia’s legislative body, funded by the European Union and in cooperation with the parliaments of Greece and Italy.
The Committee Chair also spoke about the importance of the visa liberalisation process of the European Union for the citizens of the Republic of Armenia.
The Ambassador of Greece highlighted the deepening of bilateral cooperation in different spheres and the RA-EU expanding relations.
