After the official welcoming ceremony of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, a private meeting between Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the Prime Minister of Slovakia took place. The Prime Ministers of the two countries continued their discussions in an expanded format.
Prime Minister Pashinyan welcomed Robert Fico and his delegation to the Republic of Armenia. Nikol Pashinyan attached importance to the development of further relations with Slovakia. “We already managed to discuss that there is a huge potential to develop our relations in all directions, and your visit is a very good opportunity to once again take stock of these opportunities and focus on specific directions, to have a specific roadmap,” said Nikol Pashinyan.
The Prime Minister thanked Robert Fico for his support in the agendas related to Armenia. “Today, during the “Yerevan Dialogue” conference, you reaffirmed your support for the peace agenda in our region, for the presence of the European Union Monitoring Mission in Armenia. I would also like to thank you for holding next year’s summit of the European Political Community in Armenia in the spring,” said the Prime Minister, expressing hope that next year the Prime Minister of Slovakia will be hosted in our country once again.
In turn, Robert Fico invited Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to Slovakia on an official visit at a time convenient for him. “Our private conversation confirms that there are topics of common interest, so with the same hospitality we would like to warmly welcome you to Slovakia. On behalf of the entire Slovak delegation, I thank you very much for your hospitality and friendship.

When I was preparing for this meeting, Honorable Prime Minister, I thoroughly studied all the documents that I received for preparation. I can note with great satisfaction that we were able to discuss the issues even without these documents, since we have topics of common interest,” said the Slovak Prime Minister.
The interlocutors discussed issues related to the development of bilateral trade and economic relations, the expansion of business ties, and cooperation in the fields of industry, agriculture, and energy.
Nikol Pashinyan and Robert Fico emphasized the need to activate bilateral cooperation and in this regard attached importance to the organization of high-level mutual visits.
The sides exchanged ideas on the further development of Armenia-European Union relations, the promotion of democratic reforms in our country.
The peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan and recent developments were discussed. Robert Fico expressed his country’s support for the peace agenda of the Armenian Government for the benefit of regional stability and cooperation.
