On May 26, the RA NA President Alen Simonyan received the Speaker of the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic (Toraga of the Jogorku Kenesh), Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu. First, Alen Simonyan had a private conversation with his colleague, expressing gratitude for accepting his invitation to visit Armenia.
Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, in his turn, thanked the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia for the warm welcome, noting that he was impressed by the visit to Armenia.
The private conversation was followed by an expanded meeting of the delegations, during which various issues regarding the bilateral agenda were discussed, in particular, emphasizing inter-parliamentary cooperation, as well as the activation of ties between the friendship groups operating in the parliaments of the two countries.
Alen Simonyan touched upon the already completed draft of the Peace Agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, mentioning that the Armenian side is ready to sign it.

In response to this, the Head of the Kyrgyz Parliament noted that Kyrgyzstan is ready to provide a platform for the signing of the Peace Agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
In the context of the activation of economic ties between the two countries, the RA NA President specially emphasized the importance of the Crossroads of Peace project.
At the end of the meeting, the Speakers of the Parliaments of the two countries signed a memorandum on the Cooperation between the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia and the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, which envisages activating the cooperation of the friendship groups, committees and staffs of the parliaments of the two countries.
