On June 20, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received a group of pilgrims from St. David Armenian Church of Boca Raton, Florida, part of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of America, at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. The pilgrims were led by their parish priest, the Honorable Fr. Sevak Gabrielyan.
Requesting His Holiness’s blessing, Fr. Sevak noted that the pilgrims had come to Armenia and the Mother See to renew their vow and strengthen their bond with the Homeland.
His Holiness expressed his joy at the faithful’s visit, affirming with satisfaction that pilgrimages organized by Armenian communities in the Diaspora are a precious opportunity for spiritual renewal, deeper knowledge of the Homeland, and the cultivation of patriotic sentiments.
The Supreme Patriarch encouraged the pilgrims to return to their communities strengthened in faith and to take an active role in fulfilling the Church’s spiritual and nation-preserving mission.
