During PACE Summer Session the Member of the RA NA delegation to PACE Vladimir Vardanyan asked the Prime Minister of Malta about the trial of the organizers of the assasination of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia.
Let us remind you that the journalist was one of the discoverers of the Panama Papers, which revealed corruption schemes in oil and gas transactions involving Azerbaijan.
՞Mister Prime Minister, nearly 8 years ago it has passed since the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia, and justice has yet to be fully achieved. As you have already mentioned in your speech, several individuals involved in the murder are now serving sentences, including the recent accomplices serving life imprisonment. Nevertheless, the alleged mastermind, Jorgen Fenech, remains awaiting trial, and no substantial developments are visible for a while.
Mister Prime Minister, what concrete steps is your government taking to ensure that the masterminds are finally brought to the justice?
