Today, an International troupe of Theatrical and Circus Show arrived at Zvartnots International Airport – a large-scale project that will open this autumn the first premiere season of Tashir Arena, built on the site of the legendary Yerevan Circus.
The team consists of over 150 professionals from different countries: artists, directors, producers, technical specialists, choreographers, set designers, lighting and costume designers. They all arrived in Armenia to complete the preparations and present a Show that has no analogues in the region.
Armenia for the first time is hosting such a scale project – an original performance created specifically for a new venue with the participation of an international team and the use of the World’s most modern lighting, sound, multimedia and scenography technologies.
The upcoming premiere is not an adaptation, not a concert tour, but a full-fledged production born specifically for Armenia and the Armenian audience, forming a new level of spectacular productions in the country. Rehearsals and preparation of the show took approximately two years, and today the entire team is in Yerevan to hold the final rehearsals on the main stage before the big premiere.
Tatevik Karapetyan, First Vice President of Tashir Group of Companies, spoke about Tashir Arena: “This facility is significant for Armenia with a special meaning for us. We sought to create an environment where emotions, inspiration and a sense of involvement in a large creative process are born. Despite the international scale of the venue the Armenian specialists took part in its creation. This will not just be a new stage, but a living platform for cooperation, exchange of experience and support of local talents.”
The show’s director is Pavel Bryun – one of the most sought-after professionals in the world of Circus Arts. His track record includes large-scale productions in the largest concert and theaters in Europe, the USA, Asia and Russia, international cultural projects, as well as participation in the creation of shows for major global brands, including Cirque du Soleil and DRAGONE. “My partners, colleagues and long-time friends from the MEDUSE Production Center and I have had long and careful preparation to present in Yerevan the best of what the world theater and circus arts can offer today. Ahead are the final rehearsals and the Premiere, which will be a bright event for the Armenian audience and will bring joy to both children and adults. This project was created specifically for Tashir Arena and has no analogues either in the region or in the world,” he noted.
According to the organizers, this day marks the beginning of the final stage of preparation for the big Premiere and the official opening of Tashir Arena. Active rehearsals and final adjustment of technical solutions will continue in the coming weeks.
The Premiere of the Show will take place shortly after the completion of final preparations, the date will be announced separately. The Premiere Show will combine elements of circus arts, theater, choreography, live music, digital technology and special visual effects.
The concept of the production has been developed in collaboration with leading international specialists and will become a calling card of the new Armenia – modern, dynamic, open to innovation and bold artistic solutions. The project is fully implemented by the Tashir Group of Companies – from the construction of the facility to the production of the large-scale Show.

Pavel Bryun
Pavel Bryun, the famous director and choreographer is the author of a new unique Show created especially for the Premiere opening of the Tashir Arena. The former art director of Cirque du Soleil, he is known for his large-scale productions, unconventional artistic approaches and focus to working with artists, especially former athletes and gymnasts allowing him to achieve the highest level of performance.
His portfolio includes shows in the largest concert and theater halls in Europe, the USA, Asia and Russia, international cultural projects, as well as collaborations with global brands, including Cirque du Soleil and DRAGONE. He has also worked with artists such as Celine Dion and other world stars.
Pavel Bryun, together with an international team, has created Especially for Tashir Arena an original performance that has no analogues either in the region or in the world.
