Armenpress, Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan has met with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on the sidelines of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, the Georgian Interpressnews agency reported citing the readout issued by Kobakhidze’s office.
According to report, the meeting focused on the friendly neighborly relations and strategic partnership between Armenia and Georgia, successful cooperation in various fields, and ongoing processes in the region.
“The critical importance of peace and stability in the South Caucasus was highlighted. The Prime Minister stated that a significant step forward in this regard is the joint statement by Armenia and Azerbaijan on the completion of negotiations for a peace agreement. Irakli Kobakhidze reaffirmed the Georgian government’s readiness to facilitate dialogue and, through this, ensure long-term peace and stability in the region,” the report said.
