On August 11, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan held a phone conversation with Kaja Kallas, Vice-President of the European Commission and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
Referring to the Washington agreements of August 8, Minister Mirzoyan emphasized the importance of initialing of the Peace Agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan as the most significant milestone achieved so far in the process of normalization of relations between the two countries.
Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized that the agreement reached on unblocking regional communications, particularly the implementation of the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” project, will have a significant impact on enhancing connectivity in the South Caucasus and beyond.
Ararat Mirzoyan expressed gratitude to Kaja Kallas for the EU’s message of congratulations.
