Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Deborah Ruiz Verduzco, Executive Director of the Trust Fund for Victims of the International Criminal Court.
The interlocutors discussed the cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Trust Fund.
Minister Mirzoyan expressed Armenia’s principled support for the Fund’s mission and conveyed readiness to contribute to the implementation of its programs.
Deborah Verduzco presented the scope of activities of the Fund, established in 2002 by the member states of the International Criminal Court based on the Rome Statute, as well as the programs it implements and its support mechanisms.

While the International Criminal Court (ICC) investigates and prosecutes cases of genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and crimes of aggression, the Trust Fund for Victims addresses the harm caused by crimes under the ICC’s jurisdiction. In particular, The Fund supports the realization of victims’ and their families’ rights by providing compensation and assistance. It works with victims to implement vital programs related to mental health, physical rehabilitation and material support.
