“Perhaps you should send a written inquiry to the Turkish MFA,” Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said in response to a journalist’s question before the Civil Contract party congress.
The journalist had reminded him of the Turkish Foreign Minister’s expectations that at the beginning of next year, a preliminary peace agreement would be signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Mirzoyan added that already by mid-March the text had been agreed upon, and the Armenian side had announced its readiness to sign. The same applies now: after the initialing, they have not set deadlines, and state that they are ready to sign as soon as possible.
Journalists also inquired about the details of the TRIPP. Mirzoyan repeated that the specifics would be clarified through contacts and negotiations between the Armenian and U.S. delegations. He noted that they also have a shared understanding with the Azerbaijani side, and these are reflected in the Washington document.
Questions regarding the “unimpeded” road to be provided by Armenia to Azerbaijan, and its reciprocity, irritated Mirzoyan.

“We have answered the same question 20,000 times,” he said, and in response to quotes from the opposition added: “Don’t listen to the opposition.”
One journalist asked why the President of Azerbaijan continues to use the term “corridor.”
“He shouldn’t be saying that,” Mirzoyan replied, adding that what was agreed upon is written in the initialed documents signed by the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as in another document bearing the signature of the U.S. President.
