Washington, D.C. – House Foreign Affairs Vice Ranking Member Rep. Gabe Amo’s amendment to H.R.3000 during the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee Markup on FY2026 State Department Reauthorization Act passed via unanimous consent.
The amendment has the U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio engage with the Governments of Armenia and Azerbaijan to encourage the release of the Armenian prisoners of war, the protection of Armenian religious and historical sites, the safe return of the refugees of Nagorno-Karabakh, and a peaceful end to the military conflict.
